Back to Writing

I'm back to writing now, this time working on the sequel to The Summer of Pomba Gira. The working title is Ogoun on Michigan Avenue. It's going to head on address some aspects of racism, and definitely tackle perception of oneself as being powerless. It took me three and a half years to finish the first novel, mainly because I got stuck on a point of discussing internalized racism in the first novel. It was too close to home in many respects. This novel will be no exception.
